The police scanner reveals that Ferguson police are withdrawing from entire parts of the city amid reports that some 50 armed protestors (anarchists?) are setting fires throughout the town (including Red’s Barbecue). Toy R Us is being looted, with over one hundred cars in the parking lot. The police are retreating (11:09 pm CST). One hundred looters in Walgreens are beginning to scatter. “All stores on Florissant Street west of Chambers are on fire.”

  1. Heaven help the poor souls caught in the crossfire. If there proves to be an organized, violent uprising by and armed group intent on setting the town on fire, and the media doesn’t report it………. i’m not sure i’ll have the words to describe what i’ll feel.

  2. Well let’s go get our black Friday looting done, all we needed was some way to keep the police busy while we steal barbies and video games.

It is cute how the “under privileged” bitch about being under privileged and how the man keeps them down, but as soon as they get a chance to rape, pillage and burn. They do so in their own backyard, affecting other under privileged and poor neighbors.

Here is a tip, act like animals get treated like animals, looters and violent offenders need to be put in cages and sorted out later. I hope with all these damn reporters filming and snapping photos there will be enough evidence to lock away most of these scum.

  3. Another reason why progressives generally are crazier than the rest of the crowd, if they don’t get what they want, they destroy other people’s property. This will surely convert more fence straddlers to the pro-Constitution side.

  4. Looks like there was some advance planning about setting fires. Fox news reported around 100 shots fired, although apparently not at anybody. This would have served to warn the fire department to stay away. Firemen don’t like to come into any area where shots are being fired (can’t blame ’em one bit). This would have allowed arsonists to set fires with impunity. Looking at the videos, it’s bad there.

  5. But…? Don’t they have to go to bed so they can make it to work tomorrow? That mortgage and college savings plan for the within-wedlock children won’t pay for themselves.

  6. PLEASE PLEASE Don’t call them Anarchists.

Most anarchists I know are students of history and most importantly, PEACEFUL people, who happen to believe that organized government is evil.

    Seriously. Its insulting to Anarchists.

    • Sorry, that sounds like when one (insert self-identified religious member here) tries to argue that (other self-identified members of religion) aren’t REALLY (religious member) because they don’t adhere to (specific interpretation of first self-identified religious member). Hmm, that might have been easier if I wasn’t being politically correct.

Anarchists are not defined by being peaceful. That doesn’t mean they can’t be peaceful… but burning a building down doesn’t mean you aren’t anti-government. Or assassinating an archduke, whatever.

      • +1

The real problem with anarchists is that they are FUNDAMENTALISTS, whether they are violent or non-violent. This skews their critical thinking abilities and prevents them from seeing the gaping holes in their preferred theory (faith?). When fundamentalists realize that their views are not accepted by the vast majority, they sometimes feel the need to get violent to force their form on change on us. And that is why anarchists frequently turn to property destruction and/or violence. No one listens to them so, like a spoiled child, they break something or scream at the top of their lungs. To the anarchist, everyone else is the problem. Thus we are all potential enemies to be destroyed.

  7. I’d treat someone trying to burn my house down the same way I’d treat someone trying to throw a flash bang grenade into my baby’s crib. These dirtbags looters and arsonists are well past reason, and will only respond to force.

Dyseptic was right, we should have hosed those a$$holes with high pressure foam before they could have become such a problem.

    • The foam has little weight and the pressure is pretty much not an issue.

The reason for foam is that it sticks to stuff. Hose someone down with foam and they don’t dry off so fast. Also, property hosed down with foam remains damp and very hard to ignite when sprayed with foam. Wildland/urban-interface fire units have used foam to protect homes from howling wildland fires that have come absurdly close to the homes foamed and they didn’t ignite.

Foam is a wonderful fire-fighting tool.

Fire has been the rioter’s prime tool of destruction since forever. In the future, I’d suggest that police and fire departments try to pre-emptively foam down structures and vehicles in areas where street mobs will be doing their thing to try to frustrate arsonists.

  8. I don’t blame the police for pulling back. Obama and Holder were basically chastising them and threatening them before this all started, telling them to use restraint. Why would anyone want to be a police officer in this day and age. Not only do you have to worry about the common street thug, you have to worry more about the Justice Deptartment trying to ruin your life after doing your job.

  9. We don’t need guns, the police will protect us- unless it gets really bad, then the police will withdraw.

  10. I can remember the time as a kid Louisville Ky had a large area destroyed by a tornado. The national guard was on site within hours and cerfew was ordered. Looters were warned they would be shot on sight and cerfew violators would be detained. No screwing around and I don’t remember any looting being reported. All cars and persons on foot were stopped and ID’s checked when entering an area that was destroyed.
As soon as the first firebomb or brick was thrown at the police the thrower should have been shot last night. That would have been true “social justice”. Cerfew should have been ordered the second the “protest” turned violent. I’m sure once a few animals had been put down the rest of them would have gone home.

  11. “Heavily armed police fired pepper spray and smoke canisters to disperse the crowds of protesters. Police seized a .45-mm. automatic handgun as well.” Something from this Fox news article made me laugh.

  12. Don’t let you kids become thugs, gangsters and dealers! Stay in school, learn your studies and get educated.

  13. Please don’t use the word “anarchist” to describe thugs and chaos. Anarchism is a peaceful philosophy (unlike philosophies revolving around the state). The core tenant of anarchism is self-ownership (hence the refusal to acknowledge a ruling class) which necessarily dictates that it is a non-aggressive philisophy. Yes, there are hoodlums that go around throwing bricks and what not that claim to be anarchists but they are as representative of anarchism as the KKK are of christianity. Please choose your words more carefully in the future so as not to perpetuate an even greater misunderstanding of the philosophy
