I am writing to request a reply to a simple question: has Wal-Mart contributed any money to the Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) and/or that organization’s sub-group, The Responsible Firearms Partnership (RFP)? According to your press release of April 14, 2008, Wal-Mart adheres to the RFP’s 10-point voluntary code. I would like to know if there is a financial aspect to this relationship. I would also like to know which other firearms retailers belong to the RFP, and whether or not they contribute to MAIG or RFP. But let’s start with Wal-Mart. Has Wal-Mart donated, contributed or otherwise transferred any money to MAIG or RFP?
