AKs are okay in the US, but banned (mostly) in Canada. Conversely, the Type 81 is legal in Canada, but not allowed in the US. This is a good example of stupid laws getting in the way- otherwise, we’d be able to do a nice comparison between similar rifles and see how it would turn out. I’d like to know about the different strengths and weaknesses of the AK-47 vs Vx.58 vs Type 81.
I watched some videos of this in action and the controls seem like an issue.
$2700+ for the gun. $50 for 8 round mags. They don’t even offer the drum as far as I can tell but their 5.56 drum is $209.
It’s cool as a toy but I’d say it’s a bit pricey for what it is. Unless you do a lot of house clearing I’m not really seeing the use.

Probably the greatest heavy MG. Soviet PKM is the best GP MG though. Stupid simple, accurate, reliable and light enough for spetsnaz to carry it as a SAW, giving them a lot of firepower. Pecheneg is even lighter and handier, but no barrel changes.
