“What I want to know is: When are you all gonna start standing up for the majority? And here’s who the majority is. I’m the majority! I’m a law-abiding citizen who’s never shot anybody.

“It seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet! It doesn’t make any sense.

“The law-abiding citizens of this community and many communities around this country, we’re the first ones taxed and the last ones considered and the first ones punished when things like this happen.” – Mark Robinson in Gun Owner Goes Off: ‘When Are You All Gonna Start Standing Up for the Majority? I’m the Majority!’ [via ijr.com]

  1. This guy rocked the house and should be invited to the White House and to speak at the NRA meeting.

    • Punishing law abiding firearm owners for the actions of criminals makes as much sense as a farmer beating his dog because a fox got into the hen house.

  2. I can just see the T-shirts already to support this guy.

Big T-shirts with “I am the majority”. That would be just great.

  3. Someone elect this man to public office. These are the types of people we need as our representatives, not the snakes and weasels that currently dominate our government.

  4. Narritive Enforcers have detected a Naritive Violation with a POC enhancement. Enforcers are enroute to conduct re-education, twitter mobbing, and employment termination

  5. Somebody does something wrong, so punish everybody that didn’t. The logic escapes me.

      • That’s all smoke and mirrors behind the ultimate goal of the leftists – CONTROL

        • “There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government [of a nominally free society] has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

        • Phil:
Notice how little interest anyone has in “Atlas Shrugged”? Or in “1984”, or “Animal Farm”(much better than 1984, IMO,OFC)? Even here, where most believe in freedom and liberty in some form, writers like Rand, Orwell, and Huxley are just too close to the truth for most to tolerate.
And if they cannot stand those, best not even mention “Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars”.

  6. Hoggwash, I say. Immediately after his speach he was pulled over and arrested on an EPRO and stripped of his gunz.

  7. Mark Robinson

Think I’ll send him a postcard saying “Thank you”.

Ed: I know your intention was good, but we won’t dox anyone here, pro or con.

  8. This is the kind of think I rely on TTAG to find for me. Keep up the good work people.

  9. Kudos for standing up to the nonsense!

We should crowd fund a gift certificate for some ammo for this guy…

  10. Arm chair quarterbacking here:
The only way this could be said better is if he worked in “the majority.. law abiding gun owners… elect YOU to office”

Add me to the list of a buying him a beer and box of ammo for his well said comments.

  11. Good to see…this guy is all over fakebook too. This ain’t unusual either. Plenty of brown folks are law abiding gun owners. “I’m the majority”…

  12. “I don’t think Rod Serling could come up with a better script!”

Wow, just wow! None of our current crop of politicians speak nearly that eloquently.

    • The sad thing is, I doubt many on that ‘council’ even know who Rod Serling was. (Twilight Zone, the original…)

  13. wow, just Wow.
I bet you could hear a butterfly flying past after he dropped that on them.

  14. He should be the head of the NRA…maybe he can turn them around and get their story straight on where they stand. Might make up for (a little bit) all the capitulating they’ve been doing since 1934.

  15. How about we distribute this video to everyone we know (especially fence-sitters), with the comment that this is how we law-abiding gun owners feel….seems like this is a video that should get national coverage.

  16. Nice to hear some common sense on “common sense” gun laws. This guy is VERY impressive.

  17. For some reason, and maybe it’s just that I’ve been listening to too much reggae recently, but this guy’s speech reminds me a lot of Jimmy Cliff -One More.

  18. “After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn’t do it. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live in a society where the only people allowed guns are the police and the military.”

    — William S. Burroughs

  19. A black man, with a gun, and his own mind, who uses both proficiently; I can see why the liberals fear these types so much 😉

Also, I forget; are we supposed to be standing up for the oppressed minority, or respecting the consensus this week as far as gun control? I know, it’s whatever whatever so long as more guns are banned with these snakes.

  20. Good message. Constructive criticism though: we need to stop labeling ourselves as “law-abiding.” We are peaceful, but we are not law-abiding. Peaceful means we aren’t going to attack anyone. Law-abiding means we obey politicians, which is antithetical to everything free people stand for.

  21. This man said it like it is. When the liberals make smart remarks about him , we should use their play book and scream racist. It would be refreshing to see a man like this in politics.
