Because Law-Abiding Citizens Have Most of the Guns – Quote of the Day

“What I want to know is: When are you all gonna start standing up for the majority? And here’s who the majority is. I’m the majority! I’m a law-abiding citizen who’s never shot anybody.

“It seems like every time we have one of these shootings, nobody wants to put the blame where it goes, which is at the shooter’s feet. You want to put it at my feet! It doesn’t make any sense.

“The law-abiding citizens of this community and many communities around this country, we’re the first ones taxed and the last ones considered and the first ones punished when things like this happen.” – Mark Robinson in Gun Owner Goes Off: ‘When Are You All Gonna Start Standing Up for the Majority? I’m the Majority!’ [via]

  1. avatar Carl B. says:

This guy rocked the house and should be invited to the White House and to speak at the NRA meeting.

    1. avatar Nigel the expat says:

      ^^That. Right there.

    2. avatar California Richard says:

+1…. wanted to stand up and chear for him too, just watching on my phone.

  2. avatar little horn says:

goddamn son, someone give this man a cold beer. VERY well put.

    1. avatar DJ says:

My only disagreement is I’m not turning in any weapons.

      I’ll buy that second beer.

      1. avatar Southern Cross says:

Put me down for a slab.

      2. avatar Ross says:

Yep, not giving up mine either.

    2. avatar TrappedInCommiefornia says:

Agreed, or at least buy him a box of ammo.

  3. avatar Cruzo1981 says:

Very well said! He kept it under control and on point. Would be hard to do.

    1. avatar Southern Cross says:

Punishing law abiding firearm owners for the actions of criminals makes as much sense as a farmer beating his dog because a fox got into the hen house.

  4. avatar CCDWGUY says:

I can just see the T-shirts already to support this guy.

Big T-shirts with “I am the majority”. That would be just great.

  5. avatar rip_vw32 says:

So much win!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS!

    1. avatar No More Compromise , Wayne. says:

More WINNING !!!! — Alamo Heights , Texas ; Town Repeals Ordinance after push-back.

” Yeah ….well….. open carry is legal , but we’re going to harass the hell out of you anyway ”

  6. avatar TrappedInCommiefornia says:

Someone elect this man to public office. These are the types of people we need as our representatives, not the snakes and weasels that currently dominate our government.

    1. avatar Nigel the expat says:

      ^^That. Right there.

  7. avatar Survivordude1090 says:

Give that man a beer, a steak, and can of ammo.

  9. avatar Kountryboy says:

Amen, brother! I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Narritive Enforcers have detected a Naritive Violation with a POC enhancement. Enforcers are enroute to conduct re-education, twitter mobbing, and employment termination

  11. avatar Imayeti says:

Somebody does something wrong, so punish everybody that didn’t. The logic escapes me.

    1. avatar MamaLiberty says:

No actual logic involved. Punishing everyone who didn’t do it is a feature, not a bug.

      1. avatar raptor jesus says:

That’s all smoke and mirrors behind the ultimate goal of the leftists – CONTROL

        1. avatar Phil Wilson says:

“There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government [of a nominally free society] has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

          ― Ayn Rand

        2. avatar Kenneth says:

Notice how little interest anyone has in “Atlas Shrugged”? Or in “1984”, or “Animal Farm”(much better than 1984, IMO,OFC)? Even here, where most believe in freedom and liberty in some form, writers like Rand, Orwell, and Huxley are just too close to the truth for most to tolerate.
And if they cannot stand those, best not even mention “Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars”.

    2. avatar Cloud says:

      Military logic.

  12. avatar rtw1951 says:

Damn!!! Where do I sign up for this mans fan club?

  13. avatar Brian says:

    Hero of the Day.

  14. avatar ironicatbest says:

Hoggwash, I say. Immediately after his speach he was pulled over and arrested on an EPRO and stripped of his gunz.

  15. avatar Felix says:

    Mark Robinson

Think I’ll send him a postcard saying “Thank you”.

Ed: I know your intention was good, but we won’t dox anyone here, pro or con.

    1. avatar Porkchop says:

No doxing required. He gave his address when he identified himself at the beginning of his comments.

    2. avatar Felix says:

Exactly — just transcribed the audio.

  16. avatar Dr. Michael S. Brown says:

This is the kind of think I rely on TTAG to find for me. Keep up the good work people.

  17. avatar Tim says:

Kudos for standing up to the nonsense!

We should crowd fund a gift certificate for some ammo for this guy…

  18. avatar Illinois_Minion says:

    Arm chair quarterbacking here:
The only way this could be said better is if he worked in “the majority.. law abiding gun owners… elect YOU to office”

Add me to the list of a buying him a beer and box of ammo for his well said comments.

  19. avatar 4808 N says:

    Amen, Brother!

  20. avatar former water walker says:

Good to see…this guy is all over fakebook too. This ain’t unusual either. Plenty of brown folks are law abiding gun owners. “I’m the majority”…

  21. avatar davida says:

excellent! but no were not turning in anything.

  22. avatar W says:

    Amen, brother.

  23. avatar Texican says:

Love me a little righteous indignation in the morning! Preach it brother!

  24. avatar Rusty Chains says:

“I don’t think Rod Serling could come up with a better script!”

Wow, just wow! None of our current crop of politicians speak nearly that eloquently.

    1. avatar Geoff PR says:

The sad thing is, I doubt many on that ‘council’ even know who Rod Serling was. (Twilight Zone, the original…)

  25. avatar Helms Deep says:

  26. avatar GS650G says:

    wow, just Wow.
I bet you could hear a butterfly flying past after he dropped that on them.

  27. avatar Donkey Lips says:

He should be the head of the NRA…maybe he can turn them around and get their story straight on where they stand. Might make up for (a little bit) all the capitulating they’ve been doing since 1934.

  28. avatar Rick3 says:

How about we distribute this video to everyone we know (especially fence-sitters), with the comment that this is how we law-abiding gun owners feel….seems like this is a video that should get national coverage.

  29. avatar Oppressed In NJ says:

Nice to hear some common sense on “common sense” gun laws. This guy is VERY impressive.

  30. avatar strych9 says:

For some reason, and maybe it’s just that I’ve been listening to too much reggae recently, but this guy’s speech reminds me a lot of Jimmy Cliff -One More.

More Infringement in Pennsylvania — Gov. Tom Wolf Bans Open Carry.

“After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn’t do it. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live in a society where the only people allowed guns are the police and the military.”

    — William S. Burroughs

  33. avatar Kenneth G Maiden says:

Will get little play in our corrupt lame stream media.

    1. avatar Kenneth G Maiden says:

Got big play on Rush. Thank you Mr. Limbaugh.

  34. avatar barnbwt says:

A black man, with a gun, and his own mind, who uses both proficiently; I can see why the liberals fear these types so much 😉

Also, I forget; are we supposed to be standing up for the oppressed minority, or respecting the consensus this week as far as gun control? I know, it’s whatever whatever so long as more guns are banned with these snakes.

  35. avatar Salty Bear says:

Good message. Constructive criticism though: we need to stop labeling ourselves as “law-abiding.” We are peaceful, but we are not law-abiding. Peaceful means we aren’t going to attack anyone. Law-abiding means we obey politicians, which is antithetical to everything free people stand for.

  36. avatar Specialist38 says:

Makes me happy to see this…..well said.

  37. avatar foobar says:

I immediately liked this guy. I think we may have found a new spokesperson

  38. avatar JK in Texas says:

This guy is my new hero

  39. avatar Jason Hill says:

    Bravo Mark Robinson, Bravo!!!!!!!

  40. avatar Bob in IN says:

This man sings on key in a tone deaf world.

  41. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

Finally had a chance to listen to this. I love that guy!

  42. avatar Ed Schrade says:

This man said it like it is. When the liberals make smart remarks about him , we should use their play book and scream racist. It would be refreshing to see a man like this in politics.
