SIG SAUER is pleased to announce the continued expansion of the SIG Custom Works series of pistols with the introduction of the SIG Custom Works Equinox Series of pistols for the P226 Equinox and P229 Equinox.
“This is an exciting addition to the SIG Custom Works series of pistols, and a must have for SIG aficionados and collectors alike,” said Tom Taylor, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales. “SIG Custom Works has recreated the popular two-tone, contrasting Equinox finish originally introduced over a decade ago for the iconic P226 and P229 pistols. These throwback limited-edition builds have the same look and feel of their predecessors that made the Equinox series a consistent request of SIG fans.”
The SIG Custom Works P226 and P229 Equinox pistols are 9mm hammer-fired pistols that each feature a black anodized metal frame and a Nitron stainless steel slide to achieve the two-tone equinox finish. The pistols are equipped with X-RAY 3 Day/Night Sights, Hogue classic contour SL G-10 grips, a short reset trigger, and pistol ships with (3) magazines. Exclusive SIG Custom Works feature include logo engraving on the slide, a Negrini SIG Custom Works case, challenge coin, and an official SIG Custom Works Certificate of Authenticity.

The SIG Custom Works series of pistols includes the P320 AXG Scorpion, the classic line Nightmare Series, and the Equinox series.
These new finishes/editions on old pistols designs only excite a niche market of Sig Fans. If Sig really wanted to create some buzz and shake up the market, they could introduce a line of revolvers.
Bring back the SIG 556s, but make sure they work this time.

Considering the p226 legion is over $1200, I’d expect these to be right around $1500.
I’m still waiting to find a P320 AXG SCORPION in the wild… I don’t know if I’ll be able to not buy it even if the price tag is ridiculous. But I’ll pass on the older variants.

Those will be up there with the Beretta 92X Performance I guess. At some point they flip my “ridiculous” switch price wise. Having a few Sigs already I’m satisfied. I’d like to shoot one though.

Ur correct…Sig Sauer P2xx series DA/SA’s ARE boring…boringly accurate, boringly reliable, boringly comfortable to shoot…yup, Sigs are boring!
The first run of the Equinox line is how I convinced my wife to learn to shoot with me. She fell in love with The 238 Equinox at the rental counter, and it got us both into the world of CC. Good times, good guns.
Nice pistols. Now, if folks can find some ammo to go with them… Gun reviews in 2020. Kind of like reviewing a new Corvette, if there was no fuel left on Earth.
