Cute sweater. If some AK person has a problem with your AR ask them to buy you an AK. And if some AR owner has a problem with your AK ask them to buy you an AR. And of course the cheapskate response is sell your AR and buy an AK or vice versa.

There are those who like the AK and those who are Funds.
I’ve got two, use them as “bookends” in the safe with my ARs, they seem to get along fine but I’ve noticed they seem a little fonder of the 7.62×39 and the .300 BLK than the 5.56s and the .22…
Best to have both platforms, my AKs are 762 but my ARs are in 308, Grendel, and 22. Not a fan of the 223/556.

these two guys both have military-appearing semiautomatic long guns depicted on their sweatshirts. They look different… so what? Each model depiected has its advantages and disadvantages. Our gummit want to ban both of them. These two guys should settle on what they have in common and go off and fight the gun ban freaks together.
If I were suddenly confronted by a gaggle of goons bent upon doing me harm I’d be good with having either one of these style rifles, or better yet, both.

Other than I’ve been shot at with the AK and returned fire with the M-16/AR both rifles have their advantages and disadvantages. So why the argument? Either will serve the purpose and do what is asked of it.
Because we like to fight. Ex: .45 vs 9mm, 1911 vs Glock. Personally, I’m with the little girl in the Old El Paso taco commercial, “why not both?”

I truly miss the days of cheap parts kits and build parties. I suspect that most of the cost difference is synthetic and sanctions/import restrictions based.
… and I miss the cheap Wolf HP 7.62×39 ammo that my scoped and much doted-on SKS would shoot 5 shot, sub – 2 1/2″ groups into all afternoon long.
LOL, I once had a car that ran 18 second quarter miles. I turned it into a sub 11 second car by jacking up the radiator cap and driving a heavily built former pro-stock under it.
What did you attach under your rear sight to turn a 6 inch average SKS into a real rifle?
