  1. If folks of the gun don’t show up and get rid of this guy.
You will get what you deserve in Colorado.
The same goes for all of us in 2014.
Its time for us to all put up or shut up.

    • +1000

The people of the gun must step up and be politically active. That means working for Pro-gun politicians, working the streets to get out the vote, working phone banks, making sure everyone in your gun clubs are registered to vote, donations to campaigns even if they are not in your home state and finally VOTE!

    • What if the People of the Gun are outnumbered and lose the election? Do they get what they deserve?

      • The people in general do…

“Democracy is a device that insures we shall be governed no better than we deserve.”

  2. Didn’t the good residents of Colorado gather MORE signatures for this asshat’s recall than were the total of ballots cast in the last “election” for him AND his opponent?

      • Dear Weed bashers: Just remember, it’s a basic liberty, just like the Second Amendment. When we support firearms ownership, it would be nice if you reciprocated.

Otherwise, you just look petty and dim-witted.

  3. We need to convey a greater message than just getting people to go out and vote these gun control advocates out. These times are more than just about gun rights. It’s about rights in general. And unfortunately there are politicians on both sides that are willing to take away rights for our safety. I believe Ben Franklin said “those willing to give up liberty for security deserve neither” give our take a few words. These times we have to reach out to others and say enough is enough.

  4. It will be an interesting outcome, no doubt.

My question is will the people of Colorado stand in solidarity behind their liberties, or against them?

Will they be the responsive defenders of their oun constitutional reality or the condemners of their own freedoms?

  5. The wild card here is that the recall election is now scheduled for after the students at Colorado College return for the fall term. Look for a concerted effort by the Morse supporters to get them involved and get as many as possible that are registered to vote out for the election.

    • In general, that would only apply to the students who live close by, in the same district. Otherwise, they won’t be voting in the recall. And don’t forget, CC only has about 2000 students to begin with.

  6. The Left and media will be watching this closely. Expect some gloating if these people survive their recall elections. Remember in Wisconsin, they had recall elections over the union issue. Governor Scott Walker was re-elected and while some of the state legislature people were not re-elected, some others were. A good number of people voted on what they saw as principle, i.e. that you cannot just recall someone because you disagree with the policy that they enacted, that our system is not supposed to work that way. Some who disagreed with Walker over the union issue nonetheless re-voted for him for this reason.

I am fearful that the same might happen in Colorado. Gun rights people need to tread carefully regarding recalls IMO.

  7. I hope the Colorado residents who took the time to sign the petitions will show up for the actual election, otherwise all the effort will have been for naught.

  8. What worries me is what will happen to politicians on a national level if Morse and giron win. They would become more emboldened to take away even more of our rights. One bloomberg is enough.

    • @eric, I’ve told this story before. Two prisoners in a concentration camp are about to be executed by a firing squad. The Prisoner #1 says, “I want my damn blindfold.” Prisoner #2 says, “shut up, you’ll make them mad.”

Don’t be Prisoner #2. The gungrabbers are our blood enemies. They can’t be emboldened nor can they be deterred. They will come after us with everything they have. We need to do the same to them until they are gone.

Expect to lose some battles along the way. This is going to be a long, hard process.

  9. Recalls seldom succeed. Work hard to defeat him, but don’t have unreasonable expectations.

  10. This is the part Colorado’s gotta do all on their own. I’m proud that they’ve accomplished this much, but be really need to put a few of these assholes out of a job this time around. Then maybe, just maybe, they’ll start to see why it’s a bad idea to screw with us.

  11. Before I get excited I really need to know who we’re putting up as an alternative. Sure I could Google it but maybe TTAG could see that as an “area of opportunity”.
