Yes, it’s an anti-gun cartoon. But this episode of Cyanide & Happiness is fun! And there’s some pro-gun stuff in there as well; like the chaos that ensues when the world’s firearms are removed by the President’s gun magnet. Anyway, in their business as in ours, you don’t cut funny.

  1. Dang, you guys are quick. I just watched this, and I think it’s hilarious. Not that I would put it past him if he had a large balloon with a magnet on it. Which he’s probably working on.

  2. I kinda wish they didn’t make it political. Political humor is probably the easiest way to alienate your audience (even if it’s balanced).

    • It had to be political or it wouldn’t make sense. I personally find it encouraging that media is now finding Obama to be the low hanging fruit comedy punching bag wise instead of infallible Prog Jesus.

  3. I like Cyanide and Happiness, and think that they’re consistently funny. This didn’t even make me chuckle once, though.
Are there any conservative-leaning, young, funny, artists and entertainers out there, or is it that they just don’t get published?

  4. If you’re an adolescent, liberal thumb-sucker, is this what you think passes as funny?

The bigger and more important question is, why is this crap here on TTAG? Slow day?

    • “This does not appeal to me therefore I must insult those to whom it does to make myself feel better”

    • I bet you were the kid in school who reminded to teacher she forgot to give out homework… Thanks, Debbie Downer.

      • I remember someone actually doing that in HS. We were almost scott free.

  5. It was fairly heavy handed, though I suppose subtlety is not C&H’s style. Even so, it had some funny moments.

  6. i thought it was great. i loved the star spangled bastard. he was awesome.
the “eagle” was pretty great too!

sure it was a little “political”, but get ooooover it. it was a joke. sheeeeeeeesh.

  7. Seems to me there was enough, well, ammo in that for either side to use against the other. I did get a chuckle out of Heston’s cold dead hands. But I actually got more of a laugh out of ROHC’s “Debbie Downer” post. I’m just too old-school I guess.

  8. Let’s see here, without guns, the good guys were unable to protect themselves and stop the criminals.
Guns don’t kill people, as you can see the people still ended up beating each other with sticks.
The giant muscular guy was able to bully the weaker Star-Spangled bastard into submission without guns.
    War still happens.
Anti-gunners don’t know about guns and ND into themselves.
Barack Obama’s secret plan is to take away all the guns.

This is actually pretty balanced if you ask me.
