Bergara seems to have gotten serious about their affordable B-14 lineup of bolt guns in 2017. I’ve made a bunch of noise about the HMR, their traditionally stocked precision rifle, but the BMP aims to win the hearts of those looking for a touch more functionality and a true chassis.
Forward of the receiver, there’s a Savage style barrel nut that allows the end user to perform their own barrel changes with a basic set of tools. The barrel is Bergara’s #5 contour finished with a 5/8″-24 threading job. The forend features M-LOK attachment points for accessories, and is drilled and tapped for an optional night vision base.
On the back end, the stock is fully adjustable for length of pull, cheek riser height, buttpad height, and offset without the need for tools. Should the end user elect to cut some functionality and weight, Bergara will sell an adapter that will allow for the connection of any AR buffer tube compatible stock. They also have plans to offer a folding adapter for those looking to reduce the overall length for transport and shipping. 
On the bottom side, the stock is drilled and tapped to allow for the attachment of an adjustable monopod. The pistol grip is compatible with an AR 15 grip, so further customization is easy to facilitate. MSRP on this rifle is $1699 for the 24″ 6.5 Creedmoor and 20″ .308 WIN. Expect real world pricing to be a bit lower, possible starting in the $1400 range. I’ve asked for a tester. Check this space for updates.
With the cone nose bolt will it be limited to Bergara brand only? When and how much for spare barrels? Do they use Savage or Remington thread pitch. The finner Savage pitch is easier to head space…

I contacted customer service about the barrel threading. It will be using Savage-thread for the barrels. Didn’t ask them any of the other questions.
I wonder if they offer an option to buy the rifle without grip, shaving some $. This one looks godawful for precision rifle.
