Sean says this is “Just my simple EDC. If going somewhere overly crowded, I carry an extra mag. If I’m in the woods or on my ATV then I also carry an S.O.G. Tomahawk or a Camillus 12” Machete. See all of it at Everyday Carry . . .

  1. I’m not generally a fan of liner locks but that Ka-Bar is a good one.

Ovetall a very nice rig. Personally I’d carry a light but that’s just me.

      • I stopped using them after I had one on a Gerber Paraframe fail catastrophically when I hit the blade backwards on an object by accident and I lost a good chunk of a finger to it.

After that I stick with lockback or AXIS style locks for folders.

It’s a personal preference thing after that. Once bitten, twice shy sort of deal. I never had a problem with them on any of the CRKT knives I had with liner locks but I simply don’t buy liners any more.

  2. What’s the reasoning for 2 separate key sets? I have a theory but I’d like to hear what others have got to say first..

    • One for just the car, the other for home keys? Or one home/car and the other work.

I carry home and car on 2 rings, leave the home keys in the car (perhaps asking for trouble this way but…), car keys on my person.

    • Personal keys vs. work keys? I have, at various times in my life, carried 15 – 30 keys for work, and always done so on a different ring.

  3. What is the purpose of these ongoing “pocket dump” articles? Why would anybody want to see the condoms, Viagra, toothpicks and various car keys and pistols other people carry around? What a voyeuristic society we live in. Sorry, but you want to see my gun and knife, you will have to carjack me. Next the rage will be clear plastic pants, so there will be no surprises in the bathrooms. The Obama Effect is so engrained it will be decades to shake it off.
