Reply Big Jim says: May 23, 2016 at 14:08 Okie dokie What happened to the description of what is in the picture??? You guys used to give a description of the pistol holster and knife or any other pocket items that were shown in the picture what happened to the description? I’m guessing that’s a Taurus 38 snub nose?? Reply Ralph says: May 23, 2016 at 14:08 Well whaddaya know — a pocket dump that really was dumped from a pocket instead of a backpack. Nice! Reply SteveInCO says: May 23, 2016 at 14:18 I have to say I flinched when I saw the word “Leonard” on this page. Reply Larry says: May 23, 2016 at 14:36 Starting on the left. A front pocket wallet, Saddleback I think. A micro flash drive , and a pill fob ,a wedding ring, Taurus .38 snub, a Case Trapper knife . Next a pen and a Field notes ( I prefer Moleskine , as all thinking men do ). Reply OngoingFreedom says: May 23, 2016 at 17:16 It could be a pill fob, or it probably is a titanium self-sealing lighter from here; http://www.countycomm.com/tipeanutlighter.html Reply RockOnHellChild says: May 23, 2016 at 15:09 Field Notes, b*tches! Reply Sian says: May 23, 2016 at 15:31 Are instagram filters necessary on pocket dumps? Reply Swarf says: May 23, 2016 at 15:44 Be nice. Reply Larry says: May 23, 2016 at 17:35 At first I too thought County Comm, peanut lighter , till I went to the EDC forum where they list the items . Big fan and purchaser from County Conm. Reply Specialist38 says: May 23, 2016 at 17:49 Nice. Average Joe carry. Gotta watch out…..you’ll be dragged in the dirt for no spare ammo in the photo. Course, the field notes will get you a pass from hardcore posters. My only question is how you get that big, honking grip in your pocket? I’d end up with a pocket full of fist if I tried to carry that in my pocket. Just askin.. Reply FormerWaterWalker says: May 23, 2016 at 17:54 That little Taurus is really not that big. Hey I ALWAYS have a Pepper Blaster in my pocket and it’s fatter than that…now the weight is another matter. Reply Specialist38 says: May 23, 2016 at 23:01 I have a friend with one. Shoots fine. It’s grip is like 3/4 of an inch longer than my LCR. The LCR is the top end of what I can pocket. My Cetennial is easier to pocket and draw but the LCR shoots better with hot loads like Buffalo Bore. The Taurus looks like a sweet potato stuck in my pocket. Or something like that. Reply Hoplopfheil says: May 23, 2016 at 18:19 You had me with the Taurus Protector Poly but you lost me with the field notes. Buy a phone, sir. Reply Frank in VA says: May 23, 2016 at 22:23 My dad’s version of field notes is two 3×5 index cards. He has carried two of them in his front shirt pocket, along with a pen, for as long as I can remember. Those items plus a small pocket knife, a handkerchief and his wallet have been his EDC since he graduated college. One index card to write notes for himself, one to give away to someone else if he wants to. I was a kid when I first saw him do that. He wrote down driving directions for some strangers who needed help finding their way. He always loved to give directions, and aimed for precision when it came to mileage between turns. His ability to do this from memory, even now as he is about to turn 80, always mystified me. I did not inherit that ability. He finally got a smart phone a couple of years ago. But he still carries the index cards. I don’t think that habit is going to change. He still gives them out on occasion, and it makes me smile.
