Donald Trump Jr. Picks Hunting Pal for Dept. of Interior Liaison

Donald Trump, Jr. has asked his hunting buddy Jason Hairston — former San Francisco 49er and current owner of KUIU Ultralight Hunting Gear — to be an unpaid Department of the Interior go-between with sportsmen’s groups. Only one problem, as revealed by . .

An Interior spokesman said that “there’s been no discussion of creating that job at Interior.”

I guess the Interior Department didn’t get the memo. But that didn’t stop DJ’s hunting buddies from welcoming Hairston’s “alternative arrangement.”

John Gale, director of conservation at Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, welcomed Hairston’s appointment . . .

“The Trump administration has gone on record in its support of public lands and issues important to hunters and anglers. We would welcome the appointment of an industry leader such as Jason Hairston to a position designed to amplify sportsmen’s values and the importance of our public lands and waters,” Gale said in a statement.

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is a hunter. I love the idea of avid hunters and sportsmen having the President’s ear when it comes to land use issues (especially federal lands).

But the news of Hairston’s unofficial official position seems to be less about draining the swamp than making sure there’s good hunting in the swamp. Alligators. Yum!

Donald Trump Jr. has no contact with his father, because he manages his businesses, and it would be unethical. But apparently he can go right ahead and create a position within the Department of the Interior.

“Donald Trump Jr. has no contact with his father, because he manages his businesses, and it would be unethical.” You don’t really believe that, do you ?

Donald Trump Jr., doesn’t get to pick governmental liaison’s, unofficial or otherwise but that point is often overlooked on purpose by POS (D) who don’t need emergency resuscitation from the vigorousness with which they F off.

      2. avatar VerendusAudeo says:

Of course I don’t believe that. It’s idiotic to expect the American public to buy that lie. But they could at least make an effort. Jr. having any involvement in the regime whatsoever raises huge red flags.

Why the negative spin? Would you rather have the Hildebeast running hunting…to extinction?!?

Seriously, this is a win in my book.

  3. avatar VillarPerosa says:

good maybe he can talk some sense into the Trump administration about dumping chemical waste in streams and rivers. that is mindbogglingly stupid. it won’t do much good to hunt deer that are poisoned from drinking contaminated water.

    1. avatar Bobinmi says:

  4. Traditional bow hunting! That’s how it’s done right there!

    1. avatar Joe R. says:

No, the DEER had the bow.

He still-stalked it and killed it with his bare hands.

    2. avatar Esoteric Inanity says:

Recurve bow at that, shows that the man is not only an avid hunter, but also patient and disciplined. Hunting effectively with such an instrument takes dedication and a good deal of practice and muscular conditioning.

Hairston is an avid outdoorsman. He’s also a really nice guy.

  6. avatar test says:

Trump is not 2nd amendment people. He is a liar and should be impeached. Hillary still has a chance.
