“Acting on a tip, Chicago police gang officers with a search warrant raided an apartment directly above the church sanctuary at 5512 W. Division,” suntimes.com reports. “Inside, police confiscated a cache of guns including a Kel Tech sub-machine gun [sic], an AR-15 assault rifle, a collapsible assault rifle, a sawed off shot gun, two handguns, including a 9mm semi-automatic loaded with eight bullets, and three pit bulls that were trained as fighting dogs.”

    • full auto prototypes of both the tec9 and the pmr30 have existed. not sure what the state of the tec9s are, they never got picked up by any government so that went nowhere, as for the PMR30 there is a video of on the tubes.

  1. The magazine held eight bullets and three fighting pit bulls? Wow. It must be one of those Carolyn McCarthy Autograph Model Assault Mags that I’ve been hearing about. Can I get one?

  2. A friend of mine has one of those Kel-Tec SUB2000’s. It’s pretty fun.

Oh, and assault rifle… and assault rifle… Let’s count the number of inaccuracies in that one sentence.

  3. Well golly gosh criminals with guns!!!! In Chicago no less. Nothing to see here move along now….

  4. I think they just see a Tec 9, assume its a Kel Tec because of the whole Trayvon Martin coverage and just print it on paper. I think some journalists just don’t care.

  5. you can have kel tec sub guns in chicago? we can’t even get the semiauto version in ca. now i want to move to chicago.

    • It is banned by name in the Cook County AWB. The Chicago AWB is pretty much a older version of the Cook County AWB, and I would assume is banned by name as well. They didnt like it because it was advertised as being able to be fit in to a backpack, and the people said, think of the children bringing them to school!

  6. But… you can’t own those evil guns in the windy city, right? They banned those, right?

  7. This is the thinnest reporting of a news story I have seen in a long time. I am not a news reporter but I do remember in the 5th grade we learned that in reporting a story there is certain information you need to have, who what when where why, without it you don’t have a story. The most important part of that lesson I remember was being told to have all the fact and that there are two sides to every story, get and report both of them.
It looks like to me this reporter might have been playing hooky when they needed to been in class.

    • Most news services have stopped being “reporters” and are now simply “repeaters”. They simply parrot whatever the police tell them in these articles and don’t bother to get actual facts.

  8. Now, now. In Rahmbo’s (and previously, in Hizzoner Shortshanks’) Chicago one simply cannot possess unregistered guns, as that would be illegal. Why, that would mean. . .oh, my-you don’t suppose these criminals disregarded the gun laws, do you?

  9. “My-ex-wife-with-a-Kel-Tec-Sub2000-courtesy-The-Truth-About-Guns.jpeg”

Robert, your ex-wife is rather striking yet she shouldn’t have her finger on the trigger.

      • Good man! I agree that if a wife cannot or refuses to learn proper gun safety (and the love of the great American tradition of owning and shooting guns) then divorcing her is the next logical step. I think that the mandatory wifely skills of cooking and giving good back rubs comes next on the free man shopping list.

        • Farago and Aharon. After i divorced my first wife i was single for 13 years. Iwouldn’t accept a woman that couldn’t or wouldn’t cook or shoot. Been 7 years with the keeper wife and couldn’t be happier. And farago, i did the single dad thing with 2 sons. Raising your daughter by yourself is an extra incentive to be careful about the next mrs.

  10. Thank God that 9 only had bullets in it… UNLESS… have projectiles learn to fly on their own?!?! Oh the humanity! They’ll rape the churches and burn the women!

    • The funny part is that the entire building is owned by the church’s pastor. He claimed he didnt know that the tenants were gang members.

  11. I didn’t read anything about shots actually being fired.
    But this from the article:
“One of the bullets could have gone right through the floor and it would have been right in the sanctuary. This was something to be afraid of. It could have been so tragic,” Hickman said.

  12. Are most reporters lobotomized? Unless Kel-Tec has some secret “skunk works” operation going on, they don’t make a sub-machine gun. What they do make and sell are semi-automatic handguns, carbines, and rifles. Sheesh!

  13. Did you already know about it?!

Video with member of this forum was uploaded on YouTube!

    So, hero…
What you will say to your parents after that?

  14. Submachineguns? In Chicago? NO WAY! Whoever had them and the dogs could NOT have been a Chicago resident….had to be some evil “out of towner”.
