The repetition of Groundhog Day isn’t confined to Punxutawney. Eric Holder’s back for a sixth appearance to bob and weave his way through the slings and arrows of outrageous Fast and Furious oversight. He’s still there, if your interested. Having said very little so far, he’s said enough to let the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform know that, to date, no one has been punished for their roll in letting guns walk. Chairman Issa’s threatened to charge the DOJ head with contempt of congress over his admitted earlier evasions and failing to turn over requested documents. Thus, Friday’s document dump. But we’ll probably get more results from listening to Sonny & Cher.
I hope they keep the pressure up, but he always seems to wriggle out whenever they get him.

I love how he said he won’t give up any more documents on the basis of “separation of powers”. Apparently he’s never heard of checks and balances.
Less talk, more action please. Someone needs to be held responsible now.

The longer this drags out, the more evidence that the committee gathers, and the more the Administration stonewalls, the better it will be come the elections this fall. The Administration and its sycophants are building a monument to themselves out of weapons grade epic fail. Let them have their fun while they can. Their day will surely come and the price of their atonement will be very high.
I personally have been writing my congressman regarding this issue. Several times I have written him and I have gotten a response from each. I have encouraged him to pursue this to the fullest. I cannot fathom why Holder hasn’t been charged with contempt of congress, there is irrefutable proof that he has misled and lied to congress on several occasions regarding his knowledge of OFF. I would encourage all of my fellow TTAG readers to do the same. For every one letter or email they receive there are thousands of constituents who feel the same way.

We remember the way the ATF does things in Idaho, or wherever they’re left unsupervised.
This is great theater, but I think that the final act will be disappointing. The guilty will be promoted, the uninvolved rewarded and the innocent punished. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was . . . .
