America’s Great Expansion of Firearm Carry Rights: How We Got Here

I recently had a discussion with a well-educated friend. She’s articulate, opinionated and unafraid to share her perspectives. She believes the world would be better off without guns. She is also of the opinion that an individual should have to prove they have the right to carry a gun (“may issue”), rather than the putting … Read more

Gear Preview: the N8² Tactical Pro IWB Holster

For conceal carry types, the search for the perfect holster is akin to the search for the Holy Grail. Only not as funny as the Monty Python version. Expensive too. (Although, if you’ve priced a brace of tickets to the Broadway show, we’re probably talking about a similar amount of money when it comes to … Read more

My Dinner with Kimber

As the father of a recently-minted teen and a (relatively) recently-divorced OFWG, my social life is a little on the thin side. Between budgeting for school uniforms, paying bills and working my Alice B. Tookus off, “Date Night” is a rare pleasure. When I get a night on the town with my girlfriend, it’s got to be something special. But there’s been a decided swing towards common sense, as states update their laws to allow those that don’t drink to carry in bars. Such became the case Thursday in Ohio, when newly-elected governor John Kasich (formerly with Fox News) signed a bill allowing concealed weapons into bars and restaurants. Think that sounds insane? But wait, there’s a method to the (perceived) madness.

Wisconsin is (finally) a Conceal Carry State.

From our friends at the NRA, comes word that the Wisconsin Legislature has (finally) passed a Conceal Carry bill, and with the Governor solidly on the side of the angels, the Bill should become a Law just any time now. We don’t normally reprint press releases verbatim here at TTAG, but this one is pretty sweet. So here it is:
