As the Daily Mail is reporting, “Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate said that the incidents unfolded at least three separate crime scenes, and police were working to determine whether and how the events were connected. ‘What you can see is we have a very chaotic incident. A very chaotic night in the beach. Many crime scenes,’ Neudigate said at a press conference after 1am on Saturday.”

One of the dead was reportedly the result of police confronting one of the shooters.

He said that while officers were at that crime scene, additional shots were fired in the area of 20th and the Pacific.

“That resulted in an individual being confronted by a Virginia Beach Police Officer, resulting in a police-intervention shooting. That individual is deceased,” Neudigate told reporters, according to 13 News Now.

Virginia Beach police report that they have several people are in custody in association with the shootings.

“So as you can see, many different crime scenes, a lot of work ahead for us,” he added.

“This is an active investigation, which is being conducted by the Virginia Beach Police Departments Detective Bureau as well as the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney and the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Office of Internal Affairs,” the Virginia Beach Police Department said in a statement.

    • Funny….I haven’t heard anyone in the “media” mention the correlation between defunding and cutting the police and the spike in violent crime! Why is that, do you suppose?

    • Not generally, the Atlantic Ave. and Pacific Ave. corridor between the Rudee Loop to the south and about 40th Street to the north is pretty much the tourist/resort area. Consequently, it is also the area with most of the hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and other businesses frequented by tourists and locals alike.

      • I worked a construction site there about 14 or so winters ago. The general contractor warned us travellers to stay off of the freeway between the two exits adjacent to the beach because of the nutjob street racers, and the beach itself during spring break, as it is the local drug mall and tourist free for all… can’t imagine much has changed. Also, not anything on the news about it up here in Mn.

    Is it a pattern of violence due to low police funding and early release of criminals, one of media shooting hype and copycat killers, one of false flag operations to advance gun control? Or maybe all of the above?

It’s all due to White Supremacy, voter suppression, endemic systemic racism, insufficient monetary support mechanisms for the poor of the inner, middle, and outer cities, badly-fitting flight suits for pregnant pilots whether they identify as male, female, or ‘other,’ the lack of universal background checks and a national gun registry, the ease with which criminals can obtain 80% untraceable un-serial-numbered firearms without a comprehensive background check, and the proliferation of the weapon of choice (nearly 2% of all homicides, but not exactly as they are mixed in with all other rifles) in mass killings, the deadly assault weapon (which, come to think of it, actually makes up 100% of all of the rifles used in homicides because all rifles are pretty much ‘assault weapons’ when you get right down to it), what with their 30-caliber rapid-fire high-capacity clipazines filled with armor-piercing, cop-killing school-penetrating incendiary bullets. And barrel shrouds. And pistol grips. And things in the back that go up to tell time.
      And White Racism. Which is redundant, because everyone KNOWS that racism can only be practiced by White people, so we can just say ‘racism.’

Possibly these incidents were influenced, nurtured and “nudged” at an appropriate time….in a cluster for maximum effect….. ……with a little help from psychotropic drugs…..by a Deep State operation to act such that the masses of Little People cry out for the Sleazy, Senile, Elitist Leader to “do something,…anything” to make them safe.

    For once I agree with Bill O’Reilly. Bad guys shooting people is the price of freedom. Liberty is risky business. That’s why our Founding Fathers recognized our God-given right to shoot back.
    History has repeatedly demonstrated that disarming good people in the name of making bad people harmless only eventually facilitates politicians shooting their own countrymen. History…learn from it or be doomed to relive it.

    I read the other day that the murder rate for blacks ages 20-29 is about the same rate for the murder rate in Honduras, the most violent country in the world. Maybe one of those NBA dudes that keeps blaming me will tell those dudes to maybe stop shooting each other!!!
