That’s the official word from The Mexican Attorney General’s Office. Square that with this. If you can. According to laht.com, the Procurador General de la República’s peeps “added that after consulting with several top officials in Washington and after hearing U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s criticisms of that operation, ‘one understands that the United States did not authorize the intentional and controlled smuggling of weapons into national territory.'” And, just for good measure (or political window dressing), “an investigation will be launched to determine what crimes may have been committed in Mexican territory with weapons smuggled in as part of the ‘Fast and Furious’ program.” Now that would be interesting . . .

  1. Hey, Mexico, fair’s fair. You send us bums with drugs, we’re gonna send back bums with guns.

  2. Well if the Mexican government can provide overt material assistance to illegal aliens entering the U.S., what’s wrong with a few illegal guns going into Mexico courtesy of the U.S. government?
