democraticunderground.com shares an email making the rounds that stokes the fires of the Obama As Gun Grabber meme. As we wrote yesterday, this is a great psychotic episode at the wrong mental health facility. Yes, there is a U.N. move afoot to restrict if not eliminate private small arms ownership. But this ain’t it. Methinks it’s time for the Obama administration to tell U.S. citizens that the proposed (and not yet specified) U.N. Small Arms Treaty is designed to control the flow of military weapons. And if you don’t trust the Prez (why would you?), rest assured that there plenty of U.S. arms manufacturers, industry reps and gun owners groups keeping their eye on the treaty. You don’t hear the NRA wailing about the U.N. Small Arms Treaty, do you? And for good reason. Not to mention the fact that any treaty would have to be ratified by the U.S. Senate. Anyway, here’s the smear:
