The more President Donald Trump wins, the crazier the rhetoric from the left. Maxine Waters, the face of today’s Democrat party, claims God is on the left’s side in encouraging mob action against Trump administration members. Others post missives not-so-subtly encouraging political violence, including bombings against Trump supporters.
Only a fool would ignore such warnings. Tool up. Your life may depend upon it.
Americans have watched the radical left increasingly turn to uncivilized behavior, and even physical force, to overthrow the existing political order here in the United States. This past week, the rhetoric has heated up still further. Mad Maxine relishes speaking before the more radical wing of the Democrat party. Days ago, she encouraged direct action against Trump’s people.
“If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Already, you have members of your Cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants who have protesters taking up at their house, who say, ‘No peace, no sleep. No peace, no sleep.’ God is on OUR side! On the side of the children. On the side of what’s right. On the side of what’s honorable. And so, let’s stay the course. Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
This came on the heels of repeated incidents of mob action by Democrats unhappy with the current political landscape. Intolerant leftists kicked Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family out of the tiny Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia and then followed them across the street, continuing to cause a scene. At about the same time, another mob harassed DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen until she left a Washington, DC-area restaurant.
Meanwhile, another senior DHS official found the burned carcass of an animal on his doorstep. Moreover, Florida’s Attorney General Pam Bondi faced an angry mob when she and her boyfriend emerged from a movie. And another mob aggressively got in the face of a legal American immigrant – Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao – as she left a dinner in D.C.
We have already seen how unhinged members of the radical left will turn to physical violence when they can’t win in a debate…or an election. Recall the violence at the Presidential inauguration.
And then there’s politically-motivated gun violence. James Hodgkinson, from my state of Illinois, tried to assassinate a group of Republican House members last year during a baseball practice.
One of our Guns Save Life members approached me after the incident and said they had met Hodgkinson at a home inspectors conference. That GSL member described Hodgkinson, in plain English, as a “very opinionated, hot-tempered strange bird.” Indeed, he had domestic violence tendencies at home, too. And even the FBI reported on Hodgkinson’s anger management issues.
Unfortunately, some on the far left are calling for more violent acts just like Hodgkinson’s. Take this fiery piece written by an ex-Gawker scribe at the hard-left publication Splinter.
This Is Just the Beginning
Do you think that being asked to leave a restaurant, or having your meal interrupted, or being called by the public is bad? My fascism-enabling friends, this is only the beginning. …
Not being able to go to restaurants and attend parties and be celebrated is just the minimum baseline here. These people, who are pushing America merrily down the road to fascism and white nationalism, are delusional if they do not think that the backlash is going to get much worse. Wait until the recession comes. Wait until Trump starts a war. Wait until the racism this administration is stoking begins to explode into violence more frequently. Read a [bleep]ing history book. Read a recent history book. The U.S. had thousands of domestic bombings per year in the early 1970s. This is what happens when citizens decide en masse that their political system is corrupt, racist, and unresponsive. The people out of power have only just begun to flex their dissatisfaction. The day will come, sooner that you all think, when Trump administration officials will look back fondly on the time when all they had to worry about was getting hollered at at a Mexican restaurant. When you aggressively [bleep] with people’s lives, you should not be surprised when they decide to [bleep] with yours. …
This is all going to get more extreme. And it should. We are living in extreme times. The harm that is being done to all of us by the people in the American government is extreme.
Given that sort of rhetoric and encouragement, there exists a high likelihood that more of Hodgkinson’s ilk will resort to violence. After all, living in their cocoon, they believe that the majority of America supports their radical beliefs and that justifies their use of physical force. Even for those not (yet) turning to guns, or bombs, other far-left Democrat mobs will grow more emboldened by the Maxine Waters and Hamilton Nolans of the left-wing echo chamber.
Sooner or later, this mob will expand their potential targets to anyone perceived as a possible Trump supporter. They may target specific people like Pam Bondi and her boyfriend, or they may select targets of opportunity. Either way, guess what: no matter your politics, if you’re a gun owner, you are their perceived enemy.
We teach people not to ignore an articulated threat by a potential attacker. If someone angry at you says, “I’m going to kill you,” you should listen. As they say, the FBI would call that a “clue.” You should take credible threats seriously and act accordingly to defend yourself.
The gun-hating left is telling you what they intend to do. With this in mind, the prudent people will take precautions for their own self-defense. If you have a carry license, or live in a constitutional carry state, make sure you carry a gun. If you have not yet acquired your CCW, do so right away.
Don’t forfeit your life because you left your safety rescue tool at home.
