This time last year, I was getting my hands on the Bergara LRP Elite for the first time. Twelve months later, I’m happy to report that I was able to deliver the 2016 TTAG Reader’s Choice honor to Bergara, an award that you, our loyal readers, awarded them. Pictured to my right above is BPI’s CEO Nate Treadway, who was floored to hear that you’d chosen their rifle for the honor. To my left, holding the LRP Elite is Ben Fleming, BPI’s VP of Sales.
We think these awards a meaningful because our editorial staff have nothing to do with them beyond tabulating your votes. Manufacturers can’t pay to play here. They just have to make great new products and let the results speak for themselves. The team at BPI has asked that I pass along their thanks.
