I love this guy. No namby-pamby, wishy-washy, “let’s all sing Kumbayah” and share our feelings with the group crap. Andrew Breitbart calls ’em as he sees ’em. And what he sees is an assault on gun rights, specifically because many of those in groups espousing gun “control” share an agenda that includes disarming the opposition. Wow. […]
What if you had the power to change history? What if you could influence the future? How ’bout an election or two? Let’s assume that’s possible for the nonce. Would you use that power for good or evil? Would having the power corrupt you, sooner, later, or eventually? And here’s the kicker – would you […]
Even as you read the headline, it kinda grabbed you, and then made you stop and think, right? I mean, here at TTAG, most of us are unashamedly, unabashedly pro-gun. But despite what professional tr0lls/liberal gadflies/resident Progressives MikeB302000 and Magoo seem to think, we’re not “gun loons” ’round these parts, and we acknowledge that there […]
Author. Conservative Thinker and Commentator. Atheist who nonetheless decries the Mainstream Media’s treatment of Christianity. Talk show host. Hunter. All these words and more describe the vivacious, articulate, stunning SE Cupp, the woman who proves, conclusively, that brains, beauty, logic, reason, and wry humor can come in a single package. I am in awe. Although the peripatetic Ms. […]
The wonderful thing about molecules is that no two of them can exist in the same space at the same time. It’s very binary. Black/white. On/off. Here/Not Here. Would that society operated on such clear-cut, easily-definable rules. You’d have to be living under a rock for the last 20 years or so to have overlooked […]
At any other venue, ex-U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Iran-Contra-schemer-turned-conservative-commentator Oliver North and conservative gadfly Michael Reagan would be headliners. At the National Rifle Association (NRA) Charlotte confab, they’re the support act. But not the warm-up. The NRA’s fight card violates an unwritten rule in showbiz: keep your powder dry. Save the best for last. The portion […]
Problem is, it’s hard to get to the truth, when you exhibit bias, especially when you don’t acknowledge your bias to the public or to yourself. I freely admit I come at these stories with, shall we say, a “gun-friendly” perspective. To claim anything else would be disingenuous at best, and deceitful at worst. But I do my best to get past my bias (largely by acknowledging it, and then trying to see the other side of the issue). Sadly, the mainstream media exists in an insular world, where they neither acknowledge their biases, nor do they care to examine them, when someone points them out.
