With BULKHEAD’s new game “WARDOGS” sure to appeal to tactical fanciers and other Second Amendment supporters, one gun-rights organization is getting in on the action.

On September 14, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms announced the launch of its new community server for “WARDOGS,” providing Second Amendment advocates with a welcoming online gaming environment to connect, engage, and build community around shared values.

“WARDOGS” is a tactical, all-out warfare first-person shooter released in early access on Steam on September 10. The 100-player multiplayer game splits participants into three teams competing for a randomized control zone on a massive, destructible map.

With the game boasting over 400,000 peak active players in a single week and surpassing 1 million copies sold on its first day, CCRKBA recognized a unique opportunity to reach a vast audience of engaged gamers and foster meaningful conversations about constitutional rights. More than 1.25 million copies had been sold at the time of this writing.

“Our mission has always been to bring Americans together around the fundamental right to keep and bear arms,” Andrew Gottlieb, CCRKBA executive director, said in a news release announcing the community server. “The ‘WARDOGS’ Community Server extends that mission into spaces where our supporters already gather. We’re creating an inclusive community where pro-2A gamers can enjoy their favorite games while connecting with others who share their passion for constitutional rights and freedom.”

According to CCRKBA, the “WARDOGS” server offers supporters and Second Amendment enthusiasts a dedicated gaming environment free from hostility and censorship. Whether players are seasoned veterans or newcomers to the gaming community, the server offers an opportunity to connect with fellow patriots who value constitutional freedoms and enjoy competitive play.

“Gaming communities represent one of the largest and most engaged demographic segments today,” Gottlieb added. “By establishing our presence in this space, we’re demonstrating that Second Amendment advocacy is relevant to all Americans, regardless of their interests or hobbies.”

Joining “WARDOGS” is simple and accessible. The game is available now on Steam. Players can locate the CCRKBA server by searching the US Central Region community server list or by entering the server ID directly: 72030ebb-de02-4963-8ce5-9a89b17b9fc1.

According to the game’s designer BULKHEAD, the game mode—inspired by “King of the Hill”—has three teams fight for control of randomized 2x2km “control zones” within larger maps. The team with the most players within the control zone earns points, and the first team to reach 100 points wins the match. The variables in zone location and individual player tactics mean no match ever plays out the same.

There is no exact statistical total for how many real-world gun owners play video games. However, with roughly 22% to 30% of U.S. adults owning firearms and over 150 million Americans playing video games, a massive demographic crossover exists, particularly among younger generations who often blend virtual shooter games with recreational shooting sports.

Kudos to CCRKBA for this effort in trying to bring new people into the 2A fold. It’s a forward-thinking move that, in the long run, is very likely to bolster support for our side in the battle to save the Second Amendment.
