New from Wild West Guns: BLR Takedown Combo Rifle

We don’t want to leave objectivity completely at the door, but TTAG hearts Wild West Guns. Last year they sprinkled some pixie dust and transformed my deplorable Marlin 1894 into a cowboy race gun, and now they’ve opened a new shop in Nevada and turned their attention to Browning’s top-shelf BLR.  

The combination package starts out with a .300 Winchester Magnum BLR. The BLR gets a Wild West tune-up until it’s slicker than snot on a doorknob, and then it gets an additional custom Wild West barrel and fore-end in your choice of .375 Ruger or .416 Ruger. The .300 Win. Mag barrel has a cantilever scope mount which retains zero, and the big-bore barrels have a hooded front sight and Wild West’s home-grown BLR ghost ring aperture rear.

The ghost-ring rear will also be sold separately, for BLR shooters who want a quicker and more rugged rear sight.

Globe-trotting hunters are often restricted in the number of firearms they can travel with, and the Wild West BLR Combo will smoke-check anything from antelope to elephant.  In style.
