Shit happens. When bad shit happens involving firearms, even when no one dies or receives a new hole in their body, it’s time to STOP. Stop and very slowly and methodically figure out what went wrong. You know; so that something even worse doesn’t happen. Laughing’s OK. A release of tension is a good thing. But a negligent discharge is not like falling off a tree swing or some other potentially lucrative America’s Funniest Home Videos moment. You know that scene in all the WWII movies when the good guys suddenly realize that they’re in the middle of a minefield? More like that. Oh, and if you happen to video something unsafe happening with a firearm, do NOT put it on YouTube. It makes all gun owners look bad. MikeB is watching . . .
