Texas isn’t home to America’s best gun laws. The Lone Star State still requires residents to take a four-hour course, submit to a background check and provide fingerprints to exercise their natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. Legal open carry is only available to citizens with the resulting license to carry. But in terms of gun culture? Texas is near the top.
