She’s just trolling us now, right? Surely an experienced PR flack like Shannon Watts would have done her homework enough to know that the shooting in Berrien County, Michigan yesterday was the result of a prisoner, Larry Gordon, pulling a gun from a deputy and opening fire. Wouldn’t she?

Gordon, 44, of Coloma in Berrien County, was being escorted to a hearing at the Berrien County Courthouse in St. Joseph when he grabbed a gun from an officer, shot the two bailiffs and briefly tried to take hostages, the county sheriff’s office said Monday night.
Other bailiffs and police officers converged on the scene, where Gordon was quickly shot and killed, according to the sheriff’s office.
Even Michael Bloomberg’s hoplophobic sock puppet can’t be so knee-jerk in her responses to events, so wedded to the NRA-is-the-source-of-all-evil world view as to blame the nation’s oldest gun rights org for a law enforcement officer having his gun grabbed by a criminal. Can she?
Why yes. Yes she can. When the goal is demonizing guns, gun owners, and anyone who promotes their responsible use, no argument is too batsh!t crazy. Or blindingly stupid. Or jaw-droppingly ignorant. If your goal is total civilian disarmament, why not be-clown yourself a little in service of the greater good?
