SC Church Gunman May Have Sat, Prayed Before Shooting, ‘Allowed’ One Victim to Live

There’s at least one source starting to shed some light on what exactly happened inside the church in Charleston, South Carolina earlier tonight. According to their sources (an unnamed NAACP official) the attacker sat down in the church before opening fire, indicating that the attacker may have used a concealed handgun to carry out the attack since a long gun would have raised an alarm earlier. It is illegal to carry a concealed handgun in a church in South Carolina without specific permission from the local clergy, FYI. That NAACP official also claims that the attacker allowed a single survivor to live, specifically so that she could tell others what happened. The incident is the deadliest “mass shooting” since the Navy Yard shooting in 2013, and the current reports state that nine people including the pastor are dead. Also. . .

Apparently the attacker reloaded multiple times, indicating either an exceedingly poor shot or the use of lower capacity magazines
