UPDATE: Well, it looks like the MSNBC programmer didn’t even want this clunker as a weight on their daytime ratings. If you’re interested, they’re putting this thing up online only. Heh.

-/-/-/-/-

Did you catch CNN’s seven-hour long “climate town hall” extravaganza a few weeks ago? Neither did we. Somehow we knew that in order to save the planet from total annihilation in 14 months (or 18 monthsmaybe), we’d all be told we MUST stop eating beef, air conditioning our homes, and driving our cars. It was all so predictable.

To be fair, Wednesday’s “Gun Safety” Forum — which is being produced by the March for our Lives and Giffords civilian disarmament operations — probably won’t be any more enlightening than CNN’s ratings disaster. Organizers chose to hold this much-anticipated event in Las Vegas just after the anniversary of the Mandalay Bay shooting.

SPOILER ALERT: we’re almost sure to hear all of the usual fact-free harangues about the alleged “gun violence” epidemic that’s inflicting the United States, along with all of the usual gun-grabbers’ prescriptions for “solving” the problem.

Look for these to include red flag laws, universal background checks, minimally compensated black gun confiscation (“assault weapons” buybacks) magazine capacity limits and raising the minimum age to exercise an enumerated civil right.

Yadda.

Yadda.

Yadda.

But fear not. You won’t have to watch any of it.

Why? Well first, because MSNBC learned from CNN’s big mistake. CNN scheduled their interminable climate diatribe for prime time. And…it didn’t do well. At all. It turns out that very few Americans appreciate being told what profligate, wasteful climate-killers they are for hours on end.

So MSNBC had a better idea. They’re sticking this 5-hour ratings black hole in the middle of the day…when normal, productive members of society are, you know, working.

The other reason you won’t have to endure this dog and pony show is that we’ll do it for you. That’s right…as painful as it will undoubtedly be, it’s our job to monitor this 10-candidate spectacular and let you know if anything worth noting happens (we don’t have high hopes).

Still, if you’re home nursing a sick kid or happen to be off on Wednesday and have a hankering for a little mind-numbing sermonizing, here’s the schedule:
