After being found not guilty in the second degree murder of Trayvon Martin (you may have heard about that…it was in all the papers) George Zimmerman’s gun rights were restored. Unfortunately, George just can’t manage to stay out of the news and he’s now apparently been arrested for allegedly assaulting his father-in-law. And possibly his wife. As ap.com is economically reporting, “Police: George Zimmerman’s wife calls police, saying he threatened her and her dad with a gun.” Early reports indicated that he’s in custody. Others have contradicted that. Pretty much par for the media course. But given an assault charge investigation with a gun allegedly involved, Big George can probably say goodbye to his gun rights. Again. Unless he’s acquitted. Again.
