Anyone who thinks that the government—any government—can remove guns from society is just plain ignorant. Are there guns in “gun free” UK? Of course there are. Closer to home, I know a guy used to make zip guns for his pals in a city where the chances of getting a pistol permit were less than the chances of sharing a glass of brännvin with Sofia Helqvist. Bottom line: anyone who wants a gun can get one. Gun control laws simply remove guns from law-abiding or otherwise law-abiding citizens. As we’ll see—have seen—in New York and California (and Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts and Rhode Island), civilian disarmament does nothing to reduce crime. And much to encourage the passivity that enables a police state. But you knew that. If not, the Digest has evidence. Again. Still . . .
