Zigana PX-9 from Tisas – SHOT Show Media Day

The Tisas Zigana PX-9 isn’t a new pistol, but it is new to the United States. Made by Tisas in Turkey and imported for the first time by Zenith Firearms, the PX-9 definitely goes out of its way to imitate a certain Croatian design but has a few choice upgrades which might make it of interest to American shooters.

First, the trigger doesn’t have a “split” design where a section of the trigger is forward of the remainder of the blade. It’s one solid piece which makes the trigger feel nicer to the touch.

Speaking of safeties, while there is no grip safety there is indeed a thumb safety on this 9mm model. It’s a good option for those who want a little more security that their firearm won’t discharge without their permission than the Hoot method.

The trigger is crisp and clean with a fairly short reset, and getting hits on targets was a Turkish delight. Three dot sights up top are easy to pick up and seem to be pretty well on target.

The handgun comes with three magazines and a cleaning kit and will reportedly retail for under $400.
