He even turned on the laser sight, causing a red dot to bob around on Williams’ body. (Hannity was just showing off, the sources said, but the unforeseen off-camera antic clearly disturbed Williams and others on set.)”

More Hearing Protection Act hysteria . . . USNews: Third Way Activists Fearmonger Over Non-Existent Suppressor Usage In Mass Shootings – “In a March 14 column, Third Way activists attempted to scare the wits out of USNews readersby claiming ‘an influx of silencers could make (mass shootings) even more deadly.’ Authors Lanae Erickson Hatalsky and Nathan Kasai, using the disingenuous misnomer “silencers” to refer to suppressors, misled readers by intimating the devices silence muzzle blasts, instead of merely reducing the noise level to that of a jackhammer. By their reasoning, we should remove mufflers from cars so we can hear them approach before we cross the street.”
Desperately seeking relevance . . . Guns and Gorsuch – “The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence sent out a press release today with four proposed questions for Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation hearing. The questions don’t seem to me to be either illuminating or challenging.”
This was illegal? . . . Loaded guns on boats bill passes House – “People could carry loaded guns on their boats in a bill approved by the Tennessee House of Representatives. The House favored a bill Thursday that would let people who can legally have loaded or unloaded guns and ammunition bring them on their boats. GOP bill sponsor Rep. Micah Van Huss said the current law is unclear. He said the bill would let law-abiding Tennesseans defend themselves.”

Seattle refuses to release gun tax revenue – “The City of Seattle continues to refuse to disclose how much money it’s making from the gun and ammunition tax. ‘One can presume or suspect that the revenue is nowhere near what they projected,’ said Dave Workman of GUNMAG.com, who filed suit for the statistics. The City passed legislation in 2015 to charge gun shops $25 for every gun sale and a nickel for every round of ammunition, projecting that it would raise up to $500,000 a year for gun violence prevention programs. It went into effect in January 2016.” We’d lay odds actual revenue isn’t even a third of the projected total.
