Florida: Bloomberg Groups Falsely Claim Credit for “Defeating” Second Amendment Bills – “In a celebratory email blast yesterday, NY Mayor Bloomberg’s anti-gun groups, Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety falsely took credit for “defeating” pro-gun bills in Florida. They said: “After months of heated debate in Tallahassee, we’re closing out the 2017 legislative session with BIG wins for gun safety in Florida.”

Murder Isn’t a Nationwide Problem – The worst 1 percent of counties have 19 percent of the population and 37 percent of the murders in 2014. The worst 2 percent of counties contain 47 percent of the population and accounted for 51 percent of the murders. 68 percent of the murders occurred in only 5 percent of counties.

Would-Be Robber Shot In The Chest By Marijuana Dispensary Guard – “A would-be robber is hospitalized Thursday after being shot by the guard of a West Adams (Los Angeles) medical marijuana dispensary. Police say the armed man was shot in the chest by a security guard just after 11 p.m. Wednesday at the West Adams Collective, 4856 West Adams Blvd. Surveillance video matched up with the guard’s account of the shooting, so he has not been arrested, police said.”

Now, some of these participants likely did more than one of the activities, but nevertheless the overall trend is clearly one of growth.”

And in a depressing turn, the city’s gun buyback program — where SFPD offers cash for the public’s guns — dove a dismal 36 percent, with only 212 guns being taken off the streets last year.” Another anti-gun bastion of disarmed law-abiding civilians with a gun crime problem. Go figure.
People who fail background checks for guns to be reported to police – “Felons and other people who have lost the right to own a firearm will be reported to law enforcement if they try to buy a gun in Washington. A bill signed Wednesday requires gun dealers to report anyone who fails a background check to local law enforcement, who can then seek prosecutions. Victims of domestic violence can ask to be notified if their abuser fails a check. The law, which goes into effect this summer, closes a loophole in state gun laws, Gov. Jay Inslee and supporters said.” How many convicted felons are dumb enough to fill out a 4473?
