The crack in the case occurred when the 24-year-old brought his legally purchased, loaded pistol in a bag to his job at a McDonald’s and asked a co-worker to hold it — but a manager instead handed it over to a cop, setting off probe that linked Donaldson to the semiautomatic handgun used in the crimes.
Donaldson was charged with four counts of first-degree murder following his arrest Tuesday, Dugan said.
“He was friendly and nice to the cops, but he didn’t give us anything, tell us why he was doing it or anything like that,” Dugan said. “He admitted that he owned the gun but he didn’t admit to the killings.”

Nearly every time we show someone one of our suppressors at a demo, we’re asked about direct-thread cans working their way loose. We usually respond by handing that person a full-auto rifle and a couple mags, and challenging them to loosen the suppressor by shooting it. Obviously, this slightly smart-ass (but really fun) response doesn’t work over the internet, so let us explain a bit more.
Why?
It’s easy to assume that direct-thread suppressors work their way loose as a result of vibration during the firing process, but the real problem has just as much if not more to do with heat expansion. Suppressors heat up very quickly with any kind of sustained fire—much faster than the barrel it’s attached to. Because the suppressor is on the outside of the barrel, when it heats up, it loosens as well.

Today the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) became the first unit to field the U.S. Army’s new M17 and M18 Modular Handgun System. The 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) began fielding the new handguns today at Fort Campbell, Kentucky under the command of Col. Derek K. Thomson.
“What a great day,” said Thomson. “To witness modernization firsthand as my soldiers became the first in the Army and this storied division to fire the new pistol is an absolute honor.”
The MHS handgun is a variant of the SIG SAUER P320 pistol and is equipped with an external safety, an integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for the attachment of light and laser systems, self-illuminating night sights to maintain combat effectiveness in all lighting conditions, and is capable of accepting a sound suppressor.

A rapper calling himself TrippyDoo posted a photo on his Facebook page Tuesday holding guns and kneeling next to a Monroeville Police Department cruiser with a crude caption: “(Expletive) the cops.”
The image and wording of the post now has the attention of Monroeville police.
“It’s my God-given right to have a firearm,” said the rapper, whose real name is Brennan Brooks. “Whether it’s with the cop car, that is my right, too. Right on the side of the road.”

More than a hundred guns have been surrendered to Humberside Police as part of a two-week amnesty . . .
During the fortnight-long amnesty, 119 guns and dozens of knives were handed in from around the region.
Temporary Detective Superintendent Joanne Roe, of Humberside Police, said: “I am very pleased with the amount of weapons and ammunition that has been handed in across the whole of the Humberside area.
“Taking these unlicensed weapons off the street avoids the risk of them becoming involved in criminality making our communities safer for everyone.”

Expressing their anguish over the murder of one of their religious leaders, pundits are calling for guns to protect themselves from criminal elements.
“Give us licenced guns,” said Pundit Amar Seepersad. “Now is time for us to stand up and defend ourselves and we have to do it now.”
Seepersad was one of 20 pundits who spoke at the funeral for Pundit Sunil Ragbirsingh who was shot and killed at his Arouca home on Saturday night. The funeral was held at Calcutta Road #2 in Freeport yesterday morning. Many of the pundits told mourners they felt angry and hurt.
“If the State cannot get rid of the guns from the criminals, then give a licensed gun to each one of us to protect ourselves,” Seepersad said. He told pundits they were not sheep, but lions among men.
“Look at what is happening to us, we have forgotten our nation and we are very docile and calm. Yes, continue to do you pujas and chant your bhajans, but now is the time to stand up and defend yourselves.” He predicted that in the process of defending themselves and family members, someone may be hurt. “If there are bandits in your homes, don’t allow your sisters and daughters to be raped or taken advantage of or murdered. If it means that sometimes you have to sacrifice your lives, this is what we have to do.“
