Conn. Governor Defends Likening The NRA To ‘A Terrorist Organization’ – There’s still plenty of time for a civil, national conversation about common sense gun safety measures. Right?
I said that the NRA acts like a terrorist organization. Webster’s defines a terrorist organization as one that uses fear to effect its goals. What organization in America has used fear better than the NRA?
This really is an organization that is devoid of courage when it comes to making our nation safer. Ninety-seven percent of Americans believe in universal background checks.
The only reason we don’t have them is the NRA, and the politicians they have purchased in Washington – including President Trump.
Colorado chapters of Moms Demand Action gun control group nearly doubles in one month — More demanding moms in the Centennial State . . .
One organization in particular has seen its number of statewide chapters nearly double since the (Parkland) shooting, as Moms Demand Action — a national non-partisan organization that advocates for stronger laws and policies to reduce gun violence — has grown from just 12 Colorado chapters before the shooting to 21 in the following weeks.
“The Parkland shooting was just the last straw for a lot of people,” said group member Rita Marquez. “For me, it was Sandy Hook five years ago, but there is just shooting after shooting after shooting and no action politically from our politicians and people are sick of it. They’ve really had it.”
The NRA is a terrorist organization.

Black Lives Matter Calls the NRA a ‘Terrorist Organization’ for Filing Lawsuit to Raise the Age to Buy Guns — The NRA didn’t do themselves any favors with their deafening silence after the Philando Castile shooting . . .
“When the NRA issues a public call to their constituents, inciting violence against people who are constitutionally fighting for their lives, we don’t take that lightly,” says BLM LA member Funmilola Fagbamila in the response video.
BLM activists also slammed the NRA for not responding to the death of Philando Castile, a black gun owner, who was shot on July 6, 2016, in St. Anthony Minnesota after Officer Jeronimo Yanez shot him. The association eventually commented on Castile’s death a few days later on CNN.

And at PS1 Pluralistic School in Santa Monica, Calif., elementary students wrote their wishes for a safer world on small pieces of rice paper, to be hung from a large piece of driftwood in a schoolwide ceremony. Children said they wished for houses for the homeless, kindness, an end to drought and more wishes. Although teachers didn’t mention anything about firearms, they were on at least one boy’s mind.
“I wish there were no guns so people couldn’t suffer,” said 8-year-old Gabriel Chibane. “It doesn’t make sense. Why shouldn’t they have a longer life instead of just a short life?”
Tragedies force churches to prepare for unimaginable – an active shooter – Watching over the flock . . .
Caring is, in part, protecting – and the reality of what that could mean is wrenching. Attacks at places of worship, while drawing understandably massive public attention, are exceptionally rare. But the sheer notion of it happening is enough to prompt Longwell to be proactive. He has a concealed carry permit and has debated with himself whether he should tuck a firearm somewhere beneath the casual attire he wears while preaching. He’s talked about it with a pastor friend, and he’s been advised to do it, but admits, “I’m not there yet.”
He’s not there, but he is here: Standing at the pulpit on a Sunday evening, looking at those seats, which tonight are filled mostly with members of his church security team, who were sitting quietly, their faces shielded by black protective masks.
Eminem slams NRA in iHeartRadio performance: ‘They love their guns more than our children’ — Desperate, past-his-prime rapper clamors for attention, relevance. Again. Still . . .
When Eminem took to the stage in front of a cheering crowd, he quickly pointed out to the funding the National Rifle Association has previously provided to politicians.
“This whole country is going nuts, and the NRA is our way/They’re responsible for this whole production/They hold the strings, they control the puppet/And they threaten to take donor bucks/So they know the government won’t do nothing and no one’s budging/Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons/They love their guns more than our children,” rapped Eminem.
Greek Superleague suspended after team owner invades pitch with a gun — Who knew open carry was legal in the cradle of democracy?
Savvidis twice charged on to the field, his holstered handgun clearly visible, during the derby against AEK Athens. In the 89th minute when the referee, Giorgos Kominos, appeared to signal a goal for Paok but then disallowed it for offside, the oligarch stormed on to the pitch to confront Kominos. The Georgian-born Russian Savvidis – one of Greece’s most controversial figures – is believed to have threatened the referee, saying: “You’re over.”
Until then, the game had been goalless. In the tumult AEK’s players walked off the pitch, and the match was abandoned.
A spokesman for Savvidis told the Russian news agency Tass: “He didn’t threaten anyone with a gun. It isn’t forbidden to carry a weapon in Greece.”
This isn’t the first time Eminem has spoken out.
For that reeeeeal long range reach! Lol 😂😂😂
