Gun Owners ‘Made the Difference’ as Trump Wins White House – “’What happened Tuesday night was a reaffirmation that Americans can make the system work, and that this nation’s gun owners are a cornerstone of that system,’ said Alan M. Gottlieb, founder and Executive Vice President of the Second Amendment Foundation. He also chairs the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. ‘While America’s hard-working gun owners can celebrate the victory they helped make possible,” he continued, “we must remain mindful that the gun prohibition lobby, which is largely funded by elitist billionaires like Michael Bloomberg, will almost certainly double down on their efforts to erode our Second Amendment rights at the state level, whenever and wherever they can.’”

The NRA batted .690 last night. Not bad . . . Outside spending report card: How the NRA fared – “The NRA spent money on 55 House and Senate races in the general election; 38 candidates they invested in won and 10 lost. Results are pending for the New Hampshire Senate race, in which the NRA backed incumbent Kelly Ayotte (R), as well as five House races in California and one in Nebraska.”

From Inland Manufacturing, the maker of truly “real” M1 Carbines comes the modern Liberator .45 ACP Derringer pistol. The Inland Derringer celebrates the original single shot Liberator pistol of WWII fame manufactured by the Inland Division of General Motors in Dayton Ohio for resistance forces in Europe. In an agreement with Bond Arms this super-quality Derringer pistol is nothing like the Liberator of WWII fame. This new Inland Liberator Derringer is stainless steel with a bead blasted anti-glare finish. It has handsome wood grips featuring the Inland cartouche. Built solid like a tank, this Inland Liberator is a fun and great looking pistol. In .45 ACP caliber,  it is a potent and very reliable concealed carry firearm.

The market discounts gun control . . . Gun stocks fall and prison stocks jump after Trump win – “Meanwhile, shares of gun maker Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc. RGR, -14.44% closed down 14.5% . Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation SWHC, +0.17% shares closed down 15%. Gun sales ticked up after of President Obama’s elections on concerns that laws around gun control would become more restrictive, said Chris Krueger, senior research analyst at Lake Street Capital. Now he believes gun buyers are more confident that Trump will protect gun-carry laws, so they’re not rushing out to buy them, leading to a drop in the stock, he said.”

Hey, nice rack! . . . Possible world record deer killed in Sumner County – “Stephen Tucker, 26, of Gallatin attempted to shoot the trophy buck with a muzzleloader on Saturday, but his gun misfired. He saw the animal again later in the day but was too far away to get what he thought was a clean shot. … Tucker saw the buck again two days later, about 6 a.m. Monday, and killed him with a shot from approximately 40 yards away. ‘There’s no doubt it’s going to be the new state record; I mean, that’s an absolute,’ Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency District 21 captain Dale Grandstaff said. ‘As far as the world record, (the rack) is about an inch over the world record.'”
