Before the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011 went to the House floor for debate and (eventual) passage, I called my Representative to recommend a yea vote. David Cicilline’s staff member almost dropped her nail file. “You want him to vote for the bill?” To paraphrase Mr. Wonder (before his music sank into a sea of warm treacle), I am amazed but not amused by all the things he says that he’ll do. Keeping us safe from tooled-up terrorists, child molesters, stalkers and domestic abusers carrying their guns across state lines? Yeah put that on the list.
