Mossberg’s website isn’t much help on the utility question; it shows a hiker with an M500 Cruiser. The big ass tube sitting on the side of his pack is impracticality personified. Retrieving the M500 in an emergency would be as simple as playing Parcheesi blindfolded. Underwater.
