As someone who lived in the UK for more than a decade, I can assure you that the Oxbridge establishment hates the United States with a passion undimmed. They view Americans’ as idiots. Boors. Cowboys. Make no mistake: the rest of the Eurozone shares the Brits’ antipathy to all things American. The ultimate example of the U.S. inferiority? Our individual right to keep and bear arms. Who cares? Our Oxbridge equivalent: American statists “educated” in our top colleges and universities. Anyone else?
