UPDATE: Police reportedly have two people in custody after an attempt to access Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

From 7 News Miami:

Police have two people in custody after a security breach at the Mar-a-lago estate ended in a police-involved shooting.

According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol troopers and PBSO deputies responded to the scene after a driver in a black SUV fled through two security check points on the property, Friday, at around 11:40 a.m.

Officers fired shots at the vehicle as it headed towards the main entrance of the estate.

Local news stations are reporting shots fired at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida after an apparent attempt to crash the gate.

“Someone ran the northern checkpoint near the property and then deputies fired at this person,” the journalist said on the air. “Secret service officials may have fired at this person as well…this person who sources believe is a woman was still able to get away. Officials are saying This person ran from the scene and is still out there.”

Trump is in Washington, DC. Reports are still sketchy and details are thin at this point. More as and when information becomes available.
