Brady Campaign: CNBC Sucks!

If you watched last night’s Republican debate broadcast from the notorious conservative stronghold of Boulder, Colorado, you know that it didn’t go well at all. For CNBC. The Democrat operatives with bylines moderators took all kinds of abuse for their performance, not just from viewers at home and those in attendance, but from the nominees themselves. Ted Cruz tore them a new one over of the gotcha nature of their queries. Chris Christie ridiculed their choice of topics and Marco Rubio pointed out the faulty research and false premises of their questions. In short, it was highly entertaining. But those on the right weren’t the only ones howling . . .

Danny Gross, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Ownership’s head honcho, wasn’t happy with the dearth of gun talk. Here’s the foot-stamping press release his flaks issued:

CNBC Fails the American People

Less Than 2 Minutes Devoted in Debate to Issue That Kills 32,000 Americans Every Year.

Dan Gross, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, issued the following statement following the GOP Presidential Debate on CNBC:

“The candidates and audience agreed: the moderators focused more time on divisive questions than addressing the one issue that 93 percent of Americans agree on: stopping gun violence. In Colorado, a state with a high rate of gun ownership that has also expanded Brady background checks, the moderators had an opportunity to ask each candidate how they would address this life and death issue. Instead, CNBC spent only one minute and 41 seconds on an issue killing 89 people a day. Further, they handed Donald Trump a platform to publicly eliminate policies at his companies that currently ban firearms on their properties. It is a tremendous disservice that the American people didn’t have that crucial opportunity to hear from the presidential candidates on their vision for keeping us safe from gun violence.”
