As fox4kc.com is reporting, “A Wyandotte County sheriff’s deputy died on Friday after a shooting that happened while a suspect was being moved from court back to the jail. The suspect was also struck in the shooting. The other deputy is in critical condition.”
One of the two deputies was apparently disarmed by the prisoner in front of the Kansas City, Kansas courthouse in the process of transporting him back to the county jail. The prisoner shot both deputies before he was shot as well. The suspect and the surviving deputy are in critical condition.
