Obscure Object of Desire: Kel-Tec RFB

I’m cheating a bit here. The Kel-Tec RFB is as easy to buy as any of the Florida gunmaker’s more popular products (which would be all of them). But the Kel-Tec RFB’s not like any of the gunmaker’s other products. For one thing, it’s a bullpup. A Rifle Forward-ejecting Bullpup, to be exact. But don’t get to thinking that those cases fly forwards. Nope. Thanks to a patented dual-extractor system, a spent case remains in the ejection chute until a following case pushes it out, or you tilt the RFB downwards or operate the charging handle. In all cases, the spent cases gently drop from from a chute to the left of the barrel. On the business side of the gun, there’s no “gentle” about it . .

We’re talking about an extremely accurate, highly maneuverable 7.62 caliber weapon. The standard mag holds “only” 20 rounds, but they’re metric FAL type mags that “drop free.” No tilting in required. Available in greater capacity configurations.

Yours for $1880. Review to follow. I hope. Oh, and the rabbi’s umbrella kicks ass, too.
