There’s epic. And then there’s epic. The NRA just released an ad (part of a new campaign) featuring our good friend Dana Loesch, and it’s as epic as epic gets. Check out the video above . . .
“I’m a mom. And just like millions of other women, that’s why we own guns. We’re responsible. We’re law abiding. We’re everything that makes America strong.”
“If a mom puts a gun to the face of a home invading thug and makes him run for his life, the story gets buried. But if she’s unarmed and murdered, the cameras will be at the scene before the police.”
“We are the majority. We demand the freedom to defend our families.”
“I’m the National Rifle Association of America, and I’m freedom’s safest place.”
The messaging in this video is spot on, and exactly what more Americans should be talking about. Firearms help the most helpless among us. The moms, the single women, the less-mobile, anyone that criminals might consider an easy target.
The only thing that can make a woman as “strong as a man” is a gun. Not a rape whistle, not 911, not urinating herself, a gun. It’s called the great equalizer for a reason.
Sure, you can always make more gun rules. But you still come up with the same problem … gun rules do not miraculously turn bad men into good men who will follow them.
By the way, did we mention that the cities with the strictest gun laws also have the highest rate of gun crimes? I’m pretty sure we did, but it seems like a good time to highlight it again. You’re welcome.
Of course, before you could say “delusional old wench,” leftists took to Twitter to angrily type their angry outrage on angry Twitter.
Couple of things here.
1) I think that this “tolerant” leftist Shannon Watts (whose previous work includes a stint at Monsanto), is implying that Dana is not a real woman…or something. See, because the left only wants to empower women, so long as they get to define them. A strong, attractive, gun-owning mom like Dana doesn’t fit the bill. Perhaps if she had hair pits and displayed her boobs in Bryant Park?
2.) They quote putting a “gun to the face of the thug” like it’s offensive. Again, I’m very confused. Are we supposed to be offended by the word “thug” when referring to a home invader? Oh, we are. Okay then, carry on.
It’s really pretty simple. The numbers continue to bear it out. The constitution literally spells it out. Dana Loesch’s right. The NRA’s right. But most importantly, she looks damn good in a leather jacket.
