A hardwood gunstock assists in dampening the vibration and impact created when the trigger is pulled. If a stock is hollow or flexible, it allows the barreled action to move, which can significantly affect the accuracy of your shot.” While I get wood (so to speak), there are plenty of polymer or fiberglass gunstocks that aren’t flexible. Also by the time you experience recoil the bullet has left the building. The lesson here: don’t cheap out.
