UPDATED:  Media reports indicate 20 or more killed and hundreds injured in an attack on a country music festival outside the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas.  Police report at least one suspect shot and killed and the manhunt continues for others.  The audio track from a Facebook Live video contains what sounds like long strings of full-auto gunfire.  People describe the gunfire as coming from the upper floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

From the AP, via The Oregonian:

LAS VEGAS — At least two people were killed and dozens wounded during a shooting at an outdoor music festival on the Las Vegas Strip late Sunday.

Dozens of patrol vehicles descended on the Strip after authorities received reports of an active shooter near the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Las Vegas police later said one suspect was “down” but did not give any other details.

Concert-goers reported seeing muzzle flashes from the upper floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino across Las Vegas Boulevard from the country music festival and the sound of what they described as automatic gun fire.

Twenty-six people were admitted to the hospital, University Medical Center spokeswoman Danita Cohen said. Of those, at least two died, 12 were in critical condition and the rest were being evaluated, she said.

UPDATE:  UK Daily Mail reporting 20+ dead, hundreds injured

At least 20 are killed and more than 100 injured after lone wolf gunman fires hundreds of rounds on country music festival from 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay resort before being killed by SWAT

At least 20 people have been killed, including at least two police officers, and more than 100 injured after at least one gunman unloaded hundreds of rounds of ammo on a Las Vegas country music festival on Sunday night. There were 30,000 people in attendance at the event.

The Strip has been completely shut down after the sniper opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort and casino, located across a junction from the event.

Police confirmed that one suspect had been killed, and said at 12:38am that they believed there were no more shooters. Reports of shootings at other locations were unfounded, police said.

The shooter was killed after cops breached a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay with explosives.

Police are now looking for a woman named Marilou Danley, whom they believe may have information that could help their investigation.
