Anheuser-Busch Billionaire’s Bush-League Ballistic Bashing

“As many know, I am an avid sportsman and the owner of many guns that I use for hunting,” Adolphus A. Busch IV, former CEO of Anheuser-Busch, assumes in an editorial at stltoday.com. “Only three years ago, immediately after the Sandy Hook massacre, I canceled my NRA lifetime membership. One only has to examine the makeup of its 75-member NRA board of directors, which is dominated by gun and ammunition manufacturers, to understand my decision.” To quote Don Henley, I must not be drinking enough. I see a lot of people who aren’t gun or ammo makers on the NRA’s BoD list. Anyway, Mr. IV drip (sorry, couldn’t resist) is a “no weapons of war for Americans” full-time Fudd.

The fact that an individual (Islamic sympathizer or otherwise) could simply walk into a retail gun shop or gun show to buy a Sig Sauer MCX semi-automatic, military-style assault weapon should be alarming to anyone. Since when does keeping a military-style weapon out of the hands of maniacs become a controversial idea?

The controversial idea here: keeping a “military style” weapon popular with millions of law-abiding, God-fearing, Bud-loving Americans out of the hands of non-maniacs. Americans who have a natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear any damn arms they choose. Without being accused of being a proto-terrorist for wanting an AR-15. To, I dunno, hunt with?

How many Americans die in drunk driving accidents after quaffing Mr. Busch’s beverages? The fact that an individual (Islamic sympathizer or otherwise) could simply walk into a liquor store and buy an alcoholic drink should be alarming to anyone. Ban Bud! For the babies.
