The Walther PPQ has one of the best if not the best out-of-the-box triggers in any semi-automatic pistol for sale today. No need to go aftermarket; it’s clean and crisp with a sharp reset. It’s also a supremely comfortable gun, with extremely palm-pleasing ergonomics. Walther brought the PPQ to the first Texas Firearms Festival; it was a firm favorite with shooters. Walther will be bringing the PPQ back to the 2015 event – and other fine handguns for your dining and dancing pleasure. (Remember: ammo’s free with your ticket.) In fact they reckon they’ll debut . . .

a new model they can’t talk about now.

Sorry. But it does reaffirm what we discovered last year: the Texas Firearms Festival is the scene for pre-SHOT Show model debuts. Last year, the SIG MPX. This year? A new Walther and more.

You’ll be able to buy your Walther from the Sportsman’s Finest gun store tent. If you’re from Texas it’s cash-and-carry. If not, they’ll ship it home for you.

Now’s the time to book your tickets for the Texas Firearms Festival, November 14 and 15 at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill, Texas (outside of Austin). To keep line length/wait times down, tickets are strictly limited to 250 VIP and 1500 general admission tickets per day. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Click here to come and shoot it, y’all.
