CZ has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity in the U.S. since the turn of the century, and for good reason. The company has earned a reputation for consistent quality and reliable products all at a fair price. At NRAAM 2019, we found some new models to spend more money on.

Back at SHOT Show Magpul announced their pistol grip, 35-round magazine, and magazine release for the CZ Scorpion EVO. Last week at NRAAM, CZ-USA announced two Magpul edition EVO 3 S1 Carbines, one with faux suppressor and one without. They feature all of the aforementioned Magpul components plus a Magpul ZHUKOV-S stock and Magpul MBUS sights.

Dan Wesson’s new Kodiak is a 6-inch long-slide 1911 chambered in 10mm.

It features ambidextrous safety levers, an accessory rail, and a fully adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front.

In addition to the long, slab-sided slide accessory rail, the 6-inch bull barrel helps to keep the nose down with full-power 10mm rounds heading downrange. This is a handgun hunter’s gun, to be sure.
