Back in mid-November I trekked up to Gillette, Wyoming and put hundreds of rounds through a couple new firearms from Kel-Tec, which they’ve now [partially] announced ahead of SHOT Show 2019. The KS7 shotgun is effectively a slimline KSG with a single tube magazine. The CP33 — full review inbound this afternoon — is a .22 LR pistol with a staggering (quad staggered, in fact!) 33-round or 50-round capacity.
In short configuration with 18.5-inch barrel the KS7 holds 7+1 rounds of 2.75-inch, 12 gauge ammo. The top rail is easily interchangeable; seen above with high visibility iron sights inside the carry handle-equipped, M-LOK-equipped top sight channel, or swap that out for a full-length Picatinny optics rail.
Just like the KSG, the KS7 is a pump action, bullpup shotgun that ejects empty shells downwards out from underneath the cheek rest area. Load the tube magazine from that same port. Unlike the KSG, there’s no tube selector since there’s only one tube. The center of balance has also moved rearwards to right over the grip assembly and, of course, the entire shotgun is skinnier.
Extended tubes and longer barrels will be available for competition, sporting, hunting, and other uses. It was fun to crush clays with this tactical-style, bullpup pump shotgun!

Over to the CP33 and we find a .22 LR, semi-auto pistol that’s based on Kel-Tec’s CMR-30 carbine. Standard capacity of this bad boy is 33+1 rounds, with an approximately 2-inch magazine extension bringing it up to a whopping 50+1.
With a threaded barrel, full-length Picatinny rail up top, an M-LOK slot under the barrel, and accessory attachment points on each side and at the rear, the CP33 leaves your configuration options wide open.
I absolutely loved shooting the CP33. It has a fantastic trigger, stays flat-as-can-be, suppresses extremely well, has great sights, and is shockingly accurate! Plus, man oh man, that magazine capacity.
